About This Project

My artwork was about the natural scenery of the United States. When someone mentioned America, I immediately thought of those beautiful national parks. I have chosen an ancient Chinese poem for a quote, and this poem expressed the beauty of the scenery and the author’s emotions when he saw this view. Watercolor was suitable for painting terrain and creating a movement for the sky and rivers. After drawing the background, I used a marker to outline the borders and shadows of the trees. I also used a marker to refine the mountains, the sky, and the river. The quote was in white on top of the river and emphasized by the blue outline. The final work expresses the original theme – the magnificent landscapes of America by showing the trees, mountains, rivers, and clouds.
