About This Project

My art is based on a quote from Mister Rogers an incredibly compassionate role model. I place great importance on choosing the right words. As a physical educator, I appreciate Rogers’ reference to “Love” as an “active” noun. It implies that action must be taken to “love” and that it’s not supposed to be easy, that love sees and “accepts” another person as they are, not for who they might be. For me, that’s the real challenge of loving someone and trying to love others better.
