About This Project

The prompt for this assignment was to represent your love for America accompanied by a quote. I chose a more literal approach, in hopes that all audiences would understand my message. I sketched a human heart organ and then cut out the main pieces in two different colors of construction paper. I used the pink to add depth and placed the lighter shade where the shadows would have been to add contrast. The shape in itself was pasted on a pattered background from the American flag. Bold art and glitter are popular at the moment. I thought a more literal approach would convey the message across better.
