About This Project

When I first set out to start this project, I honestly had no idea what I was going to do. How to apply texture, shape, and rhythm to a drawing I knew I wanted to be digital, and make it convey something about this country. I ended up drawing something fantastical to get my message across- which was essentially wonder. The ability we are given to wonder, to dream, to explore new possibilities. I tend to draw more character fan-art than anything, and my preferred media to work with is digital. Though I don’t typically render like this, and it was an interesting experience to try and pay attention to tiny details, and draw in a painterly sort of style (for that texture element).
